简介: 个体的存在,与许多瞬间的决定密切关联。生活中某个特定的时刻或方位,决定着未来的我们是停留还是超越。在人类历史中,每一个抉择和转向,是界限的突破,亦支配着人类前方的命运。这些无数的刹那间的平衡,这些对自我的超越和对宇宙超然领悟的瞬间,作者称之为:临界点。临界点,既是时间的,亦是空间的,更是抽象的。

 

临界点的概念从赛车而来。艺术家在赛车驾驶的体验与观感中,找到了艺术与赛车、工业文明与自然的交汇点。赛车的驾驶对赛车手对油门、刹车以及赛道的熟悉程度有着极高的要求,每一个操作都极为重要,赛车手往往需要在毫厘之间找到最佳的平衡点,这个平衡点亦可称之为临界点。掌握好这个临界点则能更好地掌控车辆的方向与速度。赛车象征着当今的工业文明,而与之对立的则是人类赖以生存的大自然,如何在人类文明的发展与大自然的生态发展中找到一个平衡点,是现代人需要重视和思考的一个问题。

 

Introduction: The existence of an individual is closely associated with many instant decisions. A particular moment or location in our lives determines whether we stay or go beyond in the future. In the history of mankind, every choice and turn is a boundary break, and also governs the destiny of mankind ahead. These myriad split-second equilibriums, these moments of transcendence over oneself and transcendence over the universe, are what the author calls “critical points”. Critical points, which are both temporal and spatial, are more abstract.

 

The concept of critical points comes from racing cars. The artist found the intersection of art and racing, industrial civilization and nature in the experience and perception of racing car driving. Driving requires the driver to be familiar with the throttle, brake and track. Every operation is extremely important. The driver often needs to find the best balance point between the tiny points, which can also be called the critical point. Mastering this critical point can better control the vehicle's direction and speed. Racing car symbolizes today's industrial civilization, and the opposite is the nature on which human beings live. How to find a balance between the development of human civilization and the ecological development of nature is a problem that modern people need to pay attention to and think about.

 

 

艺术亦是如此,艺术家的创作讲求一个度,这个度就是临界点。画面中颜料、色彩和水墨的运用,要求艺术家对画面有极高的掌控力和敏感度,通过对临界点的把握来更好地表达画面。艺术创作没有公式,每一次创作就是一次突破,当一个临界点被突破时,艺术创作则走向极限,而艺术家需要在这样狭窄的空间里再次实现自我突破于成长。

 

The same is true of art. The creation of an artist emphasizes a certain degree, which is the critical point. The application of pigments, colors and ink in the picture requires the artist to have a very high controlling ability and sensitivity to the picture, and to better express the tension of the picture by grasping the critical point. There is no formula for artistic creation. Every creation is a breakthrough. When a critical point is broken, artistic creation goes to the limit.

涂鸦世界里的中国山水——荧光颜料的使用最初只是为了更好地表达作品,但当UV灯打开的那一刻,画面呈现出强烈的视觉冲击感。UV灯光下的画面展现出与在自然光下赫然不同的一面,给人以一种虚假、冰冷的疏离感和陌生感。一切看似美好,殊不知在人类还没有察觉的时,我们生活的大地已满目苍夷。这车水马龙、灯红酒绿、城市繁华的背后,是千疮百孔的自然环境。人类不惜一切代价开发自然、滥用资源,只为经济的发展、文明的进步,但谁又能确定这不是人类走向灭亡的殊途呢?

 

Chinese landscape in graffiti world -- The use of fluorescent pigments was originally intended to better express the work, but when the UV lamp is turned on, the picture presents a strong visual impact.The picture under UV light shows a dramatically different side from that under natural light, giving people a false and cold sense of alienation and strangeness. Everything seems beautiful, but before humans were aware of it, the earth we live on has been laid waste. Behind the bustling city, there is a natural environment full of holes. People overexploit and abuse the resources of nature are only for the development of economy and the progress of civilization. But who can be sure that this is not another way for mankind to perish?

江山笑-自然平衡--艺术家从大自然中获得灵感,创作了这副大型山水画。颜料与水墨的堆叠将不同的触感表现在画布上,若隐若现的太极图案反映了艺术家的创作心境。画面极富张力的构图和笔墨象征着大自然的力量,天地、山川、流水看似互不相容却又处在一种恰到好处的平衡中。中国太极哲学将天地间的一切解释为圆融、阴阳平衡的状态,这极大影响了中国古典绘画,也影响着当代艺术家的创作。

 

The Mountains Laugh-Natural Balance ——The artist drew inspiration from nature to create this large scale landscape painting. The stacking of pigments and ink paints presents different tactile sensations on the canvas, and the looming Tai Chi patterns reflect the creative state of mind of the artist. The composition and ink with great tension symbolize the power of nature. Heaven and earth, mountains and rivers seem to be incompatible with each other, yet they are in a proper balance. The Chinese Tai Chi philosophy interprets everything between heaven and earth as a state of harmony and balance of Yin and Yang, which has greatly influenced both Chinese classical paintings and contemporary artists' creations.
